About Matt Lee.
Matt Lee is the founder of Next Phase Football and a qualified, experienced football coach based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. Matt's football journey started early — he has been playing semi-professional football since the age of 16, and was part of the QPR Development setup, giving him a first-hand insight into what high-level player development really looks like.
At 24, Matt began stepping into coaching — supporting Rayners Lane FC, leading drills and assisting the management team. That early coaching experience, combined with his playing background, shaped the player-first, detail-focused approach Next Phase Football is built on today.
Alongside running Next Phase Football, Matt serves as 1st Team Manager of Bury Rangers FC Men's Team — applying real senior management experience to every coaching programme he delivers. He is also Head Coach at We Make Footballers Cheshunt, one of the UK's leading grassroots football education brands.
